Hey all,

[livejournal.com profile] akire_yta and I are both out of Atlantis fandom and busy with other things, and consequently are not up to running another round of the Back to Basics challenge. Is there anyone out there who'd like to take over the community and associated challenge administration? We'd be glad to hand it over to an enthusiastic fan, if there's demand for another round. If not, no worries. The community will remain here unaltered, but quiet.

Thanks, and let us know if you want to volunteer,
Pouncer and Akire

Title: Celestial Navigation
Author: tigerlady ([livejournal.com profile] shetiger)
Rating: PG
Category: Pre-slash
Spoilers: Through Aurora
Summary: John and Rodney on the Daedalus.

Notes: This is a very, very belated entry for this exchange. I most sincerely apologize to [livejournal.com profile] let_fate_decide, and I hope this is at least a little of what you were wanting. Her prompt: Missing scene from Aurora, maybe? I love the ships, both Ancient and Earth-made.

Title: In Dreams

Author: RoaringMice

Written for: Rosie/LFD let_fate_decide

Rating: PG-13

Summary: “Now,” the man said. “It’s time for the trial to begin.”

Warnings: Swearing

Notes: Takes place early in Season One

Rosie’s request: Anything from season one, especially team!fic. (Ford!)

This is a pinch-hit, thus the lateness. Enjoy!

x-x

Ford’s fingers grasped at fabric as Sheppard pulled away. Ford froze, afraid that any movement on his part would only make things worse.

“Sir?” he said, keeping his voice purposefully low and even despite the mad beat of his heart. This was bad – the cliff’s edge was just in front of Sheppard, and Ford wasn’t sure of the stability of the terrain.

Under the cut tag, you'll find a detailed index of the stories written for the [livejournal.com profile] atlantisbasics challenge. They're organized by genre (gen, slash, other – thus far we have no solely het submissions), then alphabetically by title. I'll be adding additional stories as they're posted.

[livejournal.com profile] akire_yta and I want to extend our thanks to everybody who participated and created such wonderful works.

[livejournal.com profile] akira_yta did all the matching up, and the list she sent me was a bit incomplete, I suspect to preserve an element of mystery as to who was writing for me. So there are some question marks down there, which I will fill in either as soon as something as posted, or as soon as Aki gets online (she's in New Zealand, I'm in Northern Virginia, so that'll be tonight EST at the earliest).

If I've made any mistakes, please let me know. My brain is all fuzzy today.

Title: The Boy Who Didn't Need Stories
Author: [personal profile] wojelah
Rating: G
Category: gen, or mild pre-ship (Radek/Teyla)
Spoilers: None in particular.
Summary: Once upon a time, there lived a small boy who had no use for fairy tales. Many years later, his head pounding and blood on his shirt, opening his eyes and finding that he is sitting against a sealed bulkhead, with a ton of debris cutting three of his friends off from their only chance at safety, Radek Zelenka thinks about his grandmother, and the story of the golden bird, and realizes that he might, finally, have started to understand.
Recipient requested: a) Ronon observing the Sheppard/McKay dynamic; b) Adventure story where Radek gets hurt but saves the day; c) Teyla and Radek exchanging cultural tokens. This hits two of three?

ARIADNE

Recipient: [livejournal.com profile] wojelah
Title: Ariadne (~5300)
Author: [livejournal.com profile] aesc
Rating: R
Category: implied het and slash: Teyla/Carson and McKay/Sheppard
Spoilers: through 3.16 "The Ark." This takes place some time before "Sunday."
Summary: The Wraith try to take her truth and her team away, and Teyla struggles to get them back.

Notes: This fic contains brief mentions of implied rape/non-consensual sex. They are, however, very fleeting (mostly alluded to and not described in detail). To talk about them more kind of gives away the rest of the story, though the circumstances come out in the first few paragraphs--but I thought I'd issue the warning in case.

I have shown you your future, the Queen says, and her voice echoes coldly across her bones. Do you wish to know your present, Teyla Emmagan? Do you wish to know your friends?

Request: Team-fic - how Sheppard, Ronon, and McKay see Teyla as a
team-member. Shipping (any pair) and/or OT4 acceptable. :)

Title: The Beckla Tree
Author: [livejournal.com profile] gothphyle
Prompt: Teyla feeling like an outsider and how she sees the Atlantians (with a dash of "John's poor sense of direction and consequences for the team")
Pairing: implied John/Rodney
Rating: suitable for most (some bad language, and mild gore)

Disclaimer: this is a not-for-profit endeavor using characters that are not my own

Summary: When Teyla was a child, long-limbed and supple as the blades of the fishtam grass, she learned three truths.
